America's first suburban Rotary club, the Rotary Club of Decatur, has grown from its humble origins in 1938, with its original membership of 19 members, to a membership of over 170 today. The Decatur Rotary Club currently meets in DeKalb County in Georgia's original courthouse adorning the central square of the city of Decatur (so well popularized in "Gone with the Wind"). Decatur Rotarians, composed of leaders from Decatur and DeKalb County, gather each Friday at 12:15PM for fellowship, lunch, and a guest speaker, until 1:30PM.
