  • To continue our Decatur Rotary Fund Goal of Contributions of $100 per member to our Presidents Fund. However, the primary focus will be on 100% participation, regardless of amount per member.

  • To present information to the club on Major Donor Level Opportunities.
  • To update our Club Endowment Policies and Procedures and start a campaign to reach Past President Jim Phillips goal of $1,000,000.

SERVICE PROJECTS I

Goal: To continue our support of local school teachers and to encourage awareness of Rotary in the school systems. To encourage the improvement of our environment and the health of our members.

  • To create and implement a health awareness plan for our club members and to encourage them to eat well and exercise.

  • To host a meeting at an off site facility like Dekalb Medical Center or Emory Hospital.
  • To bring a program to the club that focuses on health
  • To coordinate a program for a local school that focuses on health that the club can sponsor.

  • To work with our local community on a clean water initiative at Decatur’s Woodlands in recognition of Rotary International’s emphasis on clean water.

  • To apply for any Matching Grants available through District Simplified Grants using the help of the Club Awards, Recognition and Grant Projects Committee

  • To continue our financial support of local charitable organizations through grants from our club using our selection criteria. We will focus on fewer projects so the impact will be greater for the recipients.

  • We will continue to focus on literacy, youth and humanitarian efforts.
